    Make A Better Holiday Season

Holiday season is in full effect and what is a great way to make a better holiday season? Everyone has different views during the holiday times and who’s to say we shouldn’t. Some are excited while others may be down. It brings mixed emotions out of people because of the various situations that they might be in. So what’s the best way to make a better holiday season? Let’s break it down and see.

    Adulting During The Holidays

Adults are probably the most busiest people during the holiday season. Whether it’s busy hosting for parties, shopping for gifts for everyone or trying to liven up the season, we are trying the best to keep the happy holiday mood going. Not to mention the children being on vacation so, extra family times. With kids being home, you try to set up extra activities for the kids to enjoy as well.

Adulting also comes with cooking/catering/preparing food of some sort for gatherings of any kind. If you love to cook, well you’re in luck because you’ll have plenty of people to cook for. Others who are not fond of cooking or who simply don’t have the time to cook, will turn to catering, which there’s nothing wrong with. Enjoying some good food with good company is such a great way to make a better holiday season.

    Kid-Friendly Holidays

Children on the other had are excited for the holidays especially during Christmas to open all their gifts from all around the world, and who would blame them? Growing up, Kids Gifts always brought happiness to our faces during the holiday season. There’s Thanksgiving and Christmas, where families gather from everywhere to spend time together. It’s a way to celebrate not only the special days but to find time to spend together. Kids love being able to play with their cousins and friends while the grandparents get to spend time with their grandkids as well.

During the holiday season, one of the biggest things to look forward to as a child are the gifts but also all the hot cocoa, smores, cozy under the fireplace, and watching movies with the family. Putting up decorations in our houses and enjoying the scenes from others as well. Keep in mind that holiday celebrations vary among families so not everyone keeps the same traditions or celebrates the same way.

As a child, as a grown up now, I enjoy looking at holiday decorations as well. We would go to light shows or drive through communities that were offering their houses for people to drive around and look. Something about the shining stars and the sparkle light trees just melted our hearts. We look forward to setting up our Christmas Tree and other holiday decorations too.

    Thoughtful Ways To Give

What are some thoughtful ways to give during the holidays? There’s always the can drives to help those in need. Feeding the homeless through organizations are also a great way too. Some people engage in blood drive donations (some do it throughout the year) and others like to volunteer their time.

Toy-Drives are always a hit too. There are many children who are in the orphanages or hospitals who are not able to spend the quality time with their family and friends. For these circumstances, toy drives are held to bring even a little bit of sunshine to them to brighten up their spirits with some awesome gifts.

Churches also offer food-drives or special events to host for local communities. These are not only for the community, but to share a meal with those that are in need. With Covid-19 and the increase in unemployment, so many people are in need of extra money/food. With the inflation taking over, it hasn’t made any situation better either.

Not Everyone Celebrates and That’s OKAY

These circumstances are based on a general audience of people during the holiday season. It’s in no way to put anyone down or to say one celebration is better than other. Everyone celebrates special days in their own respective ways and there is nothing wrong with it, as long as it doesn’t bring harm or danger to others. Some people don’t celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas and that is perfectly fine.

To make a better holiday season, it all depends on how you and your loved ones celebrate. Some do it with big parties while others do it with low key celebrations. No matter how the special days are recognized, it will be a better holiday season as long as your heart is in it.
