It’s Christmas time and what better ways to bring in the season then some Christmas music. I’ve got a playlist of songs playing all the time and I wanted to share the all time favorite Christmas songs.

  1. All I Want for Christmas is You – Mariah Carey. This song is a classic and a well known song in all age groups. This song brings out the cheerful mood and brightens the day with its tone. Not only do I listen to this music, I’ve used it many dance recitals in my teaching/directing days with the kids. It’s perfect song to kick off this holiday season!
  2. Jingle Bell Rock is another classic one as well. It has been edited in many different ways, and song by various artists as well too. I personally like the faster version of this song.
  3. Jing Bells is a song that I grew up singing as a kid and now my own kids sing that song during the holidays. The lyrics weren’t the easiest to learn. “Oh What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight,” had so many variations in our house from what I recall. Even my own kids made up their own version of that verse because they couldn’t understand it at first
  4. I Don’t Want to Spend One More Christmas Without You – *NSYNC is one of my ultimate favorite sones. The lyrics just touch you in a so many ways. The meaning of this song can be so broad and taken in various context. I mainly fell in love with the tune of the songs. It just flows in a way that I can’t really explain but just happen to love.
  5. Last Christmas has different versions from various artists and I seem to love each version. There isn’t one that I love more particularly because the remix of each one has it’s own twist to them.
  6. We Wish You a Merry Christmas/Felix Navidad is a classic mood swinger. Even in the quiets setting, the moment you play either one of these songs, everyone seems to gather into the scene. Most of the time these songs come, I see people get out their seats and start dancing to the tune.
  7. Oh Holy Night – Kelly Clarkson I particularly love her version because it just brings out the best of the song. The way she portrays each part of the song just melts my heart. It makes me one to just sit in front of a fire place sipping on a cup of hot cocoa while listening to this song.
  8. O’ Come All Ye Faithful – Pentatonix has become a family hit for us. My daughter heard this song at my nieces church performance and ever since then, she has fallen in love with this song. She would make us listen to it even months after Christmas because she just loved the tune and mis of it. You find her dancing and singing to the rhythm all the time.
  9. It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year is another classic one that you hear playing everywhere. When I hear this song in a coffee shop or a tea station, it warms up my heart and makes me realize that the holiday season is here.
  10. The Christmas Shoes – Newsong is such a sentimental song. The first time I heard this song on the radio, I had tears dropping down my eyes. The lyrics on this song just brings out the reality of how Christmas is not always happy go in different families. Even during the holidays, there are families that go are struggling and facing hard time, and this song just gives you more reason to be thankful for what you have and for the people around you. Never take things for granted.
